This is why we recommend looking through the specifications of all Apple Watches available in the market before concluding on a specific one. In this post, we’ll be reviewing five Apple watch series from the 7 to 4. We’ll be showing you their features, pricing, and other elements that’ll help you make an informed decision. Keep reading to find out more.

Apple Watch Series 7

Being the latest model in the market, the series 7 is an improvement from its predecessors. The most distinguishable features are the extra screen area, dustproof,  anti-crack front crystal, and faster charging time.  Key Specifications

Price: From $459.99 The only downside to getting this watch is the battery life. The battery life is just the same as the series 5 and so there’s not much to look forward to in that area. Especially since you can upgrade the OS on the series 6 and 5. If you do have an older model like the series 4 or 3, then this is an excellent choice to upgrade to.

Apple Watch Series 6

Released during the 2020 Apple event along with the series SE, this model comes with the same rectangular design as the series 5. The major plus side is that it comes with an S6 chip which makes it significantly faster than its predecessors. It comes in more colors, a brighter display and you can track your sleep on the Watch OS 07 – which is the operating system it works with.  Key Specifications

Price: From $379.00 Unfortunately, the ceramic case of the Series 5 has been discontinued. So you can only choose from Aluminum, Titanium, and Stainless steel. The battery life is also pretty much the same at 18 hours. And if you’d want analytics on your workout or sleep routine, it’s not as in-depth as the Series 7.

Apple Watch Series SE

Being a surprise launch at the 2020 Apple event, it was tagged as ‘heavy on features, light on price’. This particular watch was designed to serve as a Lite version of the series 6. It is similar in design, functionality, and durability. So if you’re looking to save some extra bucks on a watch, then this is the best option for you.  Key Specifications

Price: From $249.99

The SE watch series comes with an S5 processor which is the exact chip found in Series 5. This means that the S6 processor is only available on Series 6. This watch doesn’t have the always-on display like the Series 5, 6, and 7.  Also, if you’re very particular about tracking your vitals, you may want to opt for any of the newer series. This is because the SE doesn’t come with an ECG and blood sugar monitor.

Apple Watch Series 5

Although the Series bears a striking resemblance to the Series 4, the Series 5 is the first watch to have the always-on functionality, a built-in compass, and four different finishes. Although you no longer have to raise your wrists frequently, the always-on-display is not as bright as the series 7. You can also use the built-in compass as your Apple Maps. Key Specification

Price: From $250.00 With double storage space when compared to Series 4, many expected the battery life to have an increase. However, it lasts for just a little bit over 12 hours after charge. You also can’ track your sleep activity and health on this watch.

Apple Watch Series 4

In retrospect, this watch was a robust redesign of Apple’s watch franchise. It was one of the best smartwatches in the market during its time. With an upgraded functionality and design when compared with the series 3, it was also the first watch to have the fall detection feature.  Key Specification

40mm or 44mmWatch OS 7 compatible2 cases – Aluminium and Stainless steelGPS + GPS cellular modelsDigital Crown with haptic feedbackElectrical and Second-generation heart monitor16GB storageFall detection

Price: From $220.00 The downside to this watch is that its battery life is pretty much the same as the series 3. And so it doesn’t even last for up to 15 hours after a charge. While you can upgrade to the Watch OS 7, the newer models are starting to supersede it in all ramifications. Finding the right Apple Watch for your needs might seem like a hassle especially when some options have very subtle differences. However, keep in mind that as Apple discontinued the Series 1 and 2, it’ll continue to go on from there. So we recommend sticking to newer models to get much value from your investment for a longer time. If you’re on a budget, however, you can check out the SE as it’s functional and cost-effective.
